Shadowrocket Download Verify the App Store listing

  • Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID: 932747118
  • $2.99 one-time purchase
  • For iPhone and iPad

Where can you get it? Shadowrocket is a paid app, available as a one-time purchase exclusively on the App Store. Check the store page for US pricing and universal purchase availability.

Q.01 / Store and account region

Can't find the app? Check your store region first

Check the store region for your Apple ID, not your device language or current location. Shadowrocket is not available on the mainland China App Store. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines which store you see and what it offers. The product button on this page links to Shadowrocket’s US App Store page, but opening it won’t change your account region or guarantee that you can make a purchase with your account.

Where can you check? On your device, go to “Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region.” Some system versions show your name first; menu names and verification steps may vary, so follow what appears on your device. Pay particular attention to the account currently used for Media & Purchases. Don’t assume its store region is the same as that of another account on your device. Changing your language, time zone or web address won’t change this setting.

If you need to change your region, open the same “Country/Region” section and review Apple’s requirements and prompts. Your balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing and payment method may affect the process; the account page will show whether you can proceed. Read the prompts before deciding, and don’t assume a change is guaranteed. Before you start, make sure you can still verify your account so you can confirm your identity for future purchases or restores.

If the product page opens but the store says the app isn’t available in your region, check your account region before trying to pay again. If you see a payment issue, follow the payment prompt; if your device is incompatible, check the compatibility section. Region, payment and system compatibility are separate issues. Check each one rather than assuming they all mean the same thing as “can’t download.”

Q.02 / Verify the listing

Developer, icon and app ID

How can you tell you’re on the right product page? Verify these three details, then use the official screenshots to see what the app looks like.

Official Shadowrocket icon: a rocket with blue-violet outlines on a white background

Shadowrocket

App ID 932747118

First, check the publisher. Open the App Store product page and look for the developer or provider. Confirm the full name, Shadow Launch Technology Limited. A name in search results alone isn’t enough: similar or identical names can appear on different listings. A slightly different name or a similar icon doesn’t mean it’s the same app. Open the product details and verify them before making a purchase.

Next, check the official icon. Shadowrocket’s icon is a rocket with blue-violet outlines on a white background, matching the official icon shown here. The icon can help you identify the app, but it isn’t conclusive on its own: display settings can affect its appearance, and similar graphics in search results can be confusing. Check it alongside the developer name and app ID.

Third, check the app ID. The correct product link contains id932747118, which corresponds to app ID 932747118. Verify it in the product page URL in your browser before opening the App Store. The displayed name and description may vary with the interface language, but the app ID identifies the specific product. Don’t rely on price, search ranking or page colors to confirm its identity.

What do the screenshots show? The two images on the right are official App Store screenshots uploaded by the developer. They show Home and Add Server. They illustrate the interface, but don’t guarantee that every element will be in exactly the same place after installation. The interface may change, so refer to the current app for available options. Verify the listing using the three store details, not the position of a particular button.

Does “Not Connected” on Home mean the wrong app is installed? No. It shows the connection status in the screenshot. Global Routing, Connectivity Test, SERVER and Add Server are interface labels that help you understand the initial setup. In Add Server, Type, Host, Port, Password and Method are fields for connection details. Buying the app won’t fill them in for you.

Q.03 / iPhone

Install and open Shadowrocket on iPhone

What should you check before buying? On the correct product page, expand the compatibility details and confirm that your iPhone is supported. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements; don’t rely on an old article’s system version number. Check the local price shown on the page and the account you’ll use to pay. Once confirmed, complete the purchase in the App Store, wait for the app to install, then open it from the Home Screen or the App Store.

Should you connect as soon as you open the app for the first time? First, have your existing subscription or server details ready. The client reads connection parameters, establishes connections and applies your configured rules; buying the app does not provide connection details. To add a server manually, start with Add Server, choose Type based on the details you have, then fill in the relevant fields. To use an existing subscription, follow the Subscribe steps in the tutorial. Don’t treat example addresses in a webpage as real connection details.

Why does the system ask to add a VPN configuration? When you first connect, your iPhone may show a system prompt asking whether Shadowrocket can add a VPN configuration. This confirms that the app can create the relevant network configuration. Make sure you just initiated the action in Shadowrocket, then read the prompt and follow the system’s verification steps. If you deny permission, the connection may not proceed. This is separate from whether your purchase went through, so you don’t need to pay again.

What should you check after turning on the switch? Return to Home, check the selected item and Global Routing, then run any necessary connectivity tests. A VPN status in the system only confirms that the connection was established; it doesn’t confirm that the destination website is reachable. If something isn’t working, check that your existing details are complete, the service is still available, and the mode and rules are set as expected. Then troubleshoot each issue in turn.

To confirm whether you’ve already bought the app, check purchased items and your purchase history from your App Store account. Purchased items help you find apps to download again; purchase history shows the account and transaction details. If you’ve paid but can’t find the app yet, check your account and the message on the page. Buying again won’t refresh your purchase status.

Q.04 / iPad

Restore a purchase on iPad and check compatibility

If you bought Shadowrocket on iPhone, do you need to buy it again for iPad? No. With the same Apple ID, you can download Shadowrocket again from the App Store’s purchased items on a compatible iPad. First make sure Media & Purchases is using the account that made the original purchase, then look for Shadowrocket. If the button still shows a price, don’t proceed with payment; check the original purchase history and the account currently in use.

Do you need to learn the controls again on iPad? Most tasks still use Home, Add Server, Config and Settings. The layout of lists and content may differ from iPhone screenshots because of the screen size and orientation. Look for the same interface labels rather than relying on screenshot coordinates. Refer to the App Store page for iPad system requirements, and check compatibility on the device before installing.

The app is installed, but why are my old entries missing? Purchase entitlements and in-app connection details need to be handled separately. Being able to download the client again doesn’t mean the new device already has your subscription, servers and rules. Check what transferred, then reimport details you’ve saved yourself. After importing, verify the selected item, Global Routing and actual access. Don’t assume your configuration has been restored just because the app opens.

Where can you check compatibility for other Apple devices?

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision. To use Shadowrocket on one of these devices, check the same product page on that device. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the place to get the app. The setup and usage guidance on this page is primarily for iPhone and iPad; layouts on other devices may differ.

Q.05 / Moving to a new device

Restore the app from purchased items

What should you restore first after getting a new device or reinstalling? First recover your client purchase, then check your connection settings. Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase and look for Shadowrocket under “App Store → Account → Purchased.” Depending on your system, the relevant section may be called “Apps” or “My Apps”; use the name shown on your device. Select the correct listing and tap the redownload button. You usually won’t need to pay again.

  1. First confirm the account shown under Media & Purchases. If needed, compare it with the purchase history on your original device; don’t rely only on the account name at the top of the screen.
  2. Search for Shadowrocket in purchased items and verify the developer, icon and app ID. If it doesn’t appear, check that you’re using the right account and that the purchase hasn’t been hidden.
  3. Wait for the App Store to finish redownloading the app. After opening it, check your subscription, server details and Config, then add any missing personal connection details.
  4. If needed, grant system permission for the VPN configuration again. Check Global Routing, then test that the connection works as expected.

If the App Store shows a price instead of a redownload button, does that mean you have to buy it again? Don’t pay yet. You may be using a different store account from the one that made the original purchase, or you may not have found the purchase listing. Check your purchase history and confirm which account the transaction belongs to, then follow the App Store prompts. If the original purchase is there but the page still shows a different status, use the account and purchase support options provided in the App Store.

What should you check carefully after restoring? Subscription URLs may contain personal access credentials, and server passwords or configuration files may include sensitive information. Use details you’ve saved securely and don’t share them publicly. After importing, check that the configuration is still valid, especially the selected server and rule policy. Confirm these three things separately: the client is installed, the subscription has been read and the connection works.

Does Family Sharing apply? Check the Family Sharing information on the current App Store product page and consider how your family account is set up. Don’t assume another account has purchase access just because someone in your family uses the app. If purchase records don’t match, verify the store information and account status first; switching devices won’t automatically transfer a purchase.

Q.06 / Price and purchase

What does a one-time purchase include?

How much does Shadowrocket cost? The US App Store price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase, with no monthly client fee. The price shown on the App Store page and payment confirmation is the one that applies. Other storefronts display local currency and may show different amounts depending on region and taxes. Check the order details for your current store account; the price in one region isn’t a fixed price for every account.

Why do I still need to add connection details after buying the app? The client and connection service do different things: the client manages settings, connections and rules, while your existing service details determine the connection. An App Store purchase record confirms the client transaction; it doesn’t show whether a server is currently available or create a subscription URL for you. Make sure you have usable connection details, then add them using the appropriate import method.

How do you update the app? Use the App Store’s app update feature. You can enable automatic updates in your device settings or check for available updates on your account page. Refer to the current store listing for update notes and compatibility requirements. This page doesn’t list a fixed version history. Before updating or moving to a new device, save any subscription, server details and configuration you want to keep so you can check them afterward.

What should you check just before paying? Confirm the store and account you’re using, verify the three details that identify the official listing, check device compatibility and review the actual amount on the payment confirmation screen. Keep your purchase record after paying, and use your own connection details when you first open the app. Treat purchase, installation, permission, configuration and testing as separate steps to pinpoint problems and avoid mistaking a connection issue for a need to buy again.

What should you do next? After installing the app and verifying the listing, read the getting-started guide. Follow the steps to import details you already have, check Global Routing and test the connection. For connection or rule issues, see Troubleshooting. These steps cover using the app and don’t change your App Store purchase history.

Purchase FAQ

Download and restore: common questions

First identify whether the issue involves the store, account, device or configuration, then follow the relevant steps.

Why can't I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?

Shadowrocket is not available on the mainland China App Store. The country or region associated with your Apple ID determines which store content you can see. First check the account used for Media & Purchases and its country or region, then visit the product page linked here. Whether you can change your region depends on Apple’s account requirements.

The product page opens, but I can't download the app. What should I check first?

Read the specific message shown by the App Store, then check your account region, payment status, device compatibility, available storage and network connection. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. If the order status is unclear, check your purchase history before trying to buy again.

Do I have to pay again after getting a new iPhone?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket under your App Store account’s purchased items and download it again. You usually won’t need to pay again. If a price still appears, check the account you’re using and your purchase history. After reinstalling, check your subscription, server details and configuration too.

I bought it on my iPhone. Can I install it on my iPad?

Yes. Once Shadowrocket has been purchased with an Apple ID, you can download it again from the App Store’s purchased items on a compatible iPad. Refer to the App Store page for iPad system requirements. Purchase history and in-app connection settings are separate, so check both.

Can I install it on Mac, Apple TV or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision. Check that page on the device you plan to use; refer to it for system requirements and whether the purchase is universal. The App Store remains the place to get the app.

Where should I start if the app opens in English?

Start by recognizing interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Config and Settings. Don’t judge an app’s identity by its interface language alone. Verify the developer, icon and app ID on the App Store, then continue setup with subscription or server details you already have. See this site’s getting-started guide for step-by-step instructions.
